FESTIVENTU CALVI SAILING!


Festiventu Sailing

Each year the FestiVentu (Festival of the Wind) includes the entire city of Calvi, in northern Corsica, in an exhibition dedicated to Wind in all its forms, in a great sporting event and the arts, during which intertwine street performances, concerts and scientific conferences dedicated to the Wind, the environment, renewable energy and climate change.

"godmother" of the Festival of the Wind 2009 will be the famous French sailor Isabelle Autissier, one more reason to discover the FestiVentu with the sailboat. The Sailing Center

RivieraVento shares the strong environmental message of this event that is repeated in 1992, and proposes to participate in the celebrations with a cruise sailing the high seas that will bring the coast of Liguria to the steep cliffs of Corsica, where you will spend two days discovering the magic of Calvi and its gulf.

Navigation will take place in the Cetacean Sanctuary, and will be an opportunity for interesting observations of marine biology, and particularly to experience the thrill of sightings of dolphins and larger cetaceans, discovering the charm of navigation Offshore, the seas and the life boat.

The departure is scheduled Oct. 29 from Imperia and return on November 2.

SAILING COURSES IN LIGURIA IN OCTOBER


The weekend started again 3 to 4 October the sailing of the Sailing School Sailing Center RivieraVento at the base of San Lorenzo al Mare, Imperia!

Basic Course: 3-4 and 17 to 18 October
To get closer to the maneuvers safely and at the helm, discovering where the wind blows and how to adjust the sails.
Two weekends of sailing and sunny climate is temperate in the Riviera dei Fiori

Course helm (coastal) 3-4 and 17-18 October, 1 to 2 November
A course to improve gaits and maneuvers, learning to use the spinnaker, anchorages and moorings, meteorology, organization of a coastal cruise. Last weekend the participants will plan and conduct, under the guidance of instructors, a real cruise to Cote d'Azur.
